Thank You

Dear Supporters:

I've taken a few days to reflect on the election, catch some sleep and just savor the routine — taking Sid to school and soccer, going to the gym and running through Golden Gate Park to the Ocean.

I am grateful to each and every donor, supporter, volunteer, campaign staff member and consultant.

We worked hard, had fun and stayed positive.

People have been wonderful to reach out to me and speak kindly about our campaign — how we conducted ourselves over rocky terrain and the magic of Mark Putnam's two television spots.

When one door closes, another opens.  Right now, I'm not sure what's next.  I'm focused on transitioning my amazing staff to new jobs.  So if you have ideas or opportunities, please let me know.

As I reflect upon all the things to be thankful for, I want to express appreciation to my co-parent, Rebecca, for ensuring Sidney's happiness.  Thanks to Michael Terris for agreeing to lead me in this race and to Alex Tourk and Jake Saperstein for stepping up to manage us through the home stretch.  Thanks to all my endorsers, especially the Victory Fund that enables LGBT candidates to make history and serve our country.

Most of all, know that I will always be thankful for your friendship and support.  Call upon me and I will do my best.
